Heather grew up in a very old, very spooky farmhouse in the Hudson Valley. She graduated with her BA in English from Pace University where her undergraduate prose fiction and literary criticism were published in university journals and received several awards.
While working in higher education, she has written two novels: The Ghost Matchmaker, a gothic romantasy which reimagines the genre conventions of the ghost story as a fantasy of manners, and Immortal Enemy, a supernatural thriller rooted in changeling folklore. Her current work-in-progress is a magical historical mystery inspired by the works of Washington Irving.
After a decade of waiting for the Q train, she relocated from Brooklyn to Beacon, NY. When she’s not writing, you can find her watching baseball, doing yoga, or playing Dungeons & Dragons.
