Heather grew up in a very old, very haunted Dutch farmhouse in the Hudson Valley. She graduated with her BA in English from Pace University where her undergraduate prose fiction and literary criticism were published in university journals and received several awards.
While working in higher education, she has written two novels: The Ghost Matchmaker, a feminist pastiche of Victorian gothic melodrama and Immortal Enemy, a speculative novel rooted in changeling folklore. Her current work-in-progress is a magical realism mystery inspired by the ghost stories of Washington Irving.
After a decade of waiting for the Q train, she relocated from Brooklyn to Beacon, NY. When she’s not writing, you can find her watching baseball, doing yoga, or playing Dungeons & Dragons.
